You've figured out who your target market is and what they want
You've made it your business to learn what they need to get it
You've shared some content with them that talks about how to get it
And You've offered them something that will help them get it in exchange for their contact info
When they decide to take your offer and give you permission to followup with them
You are now starting to build the most important part of your business
Without which you really don't have a business
You just have some stuff to sell...
We're talking about a list of people in your target market who
have asked you to talk to them about what you have to offer...
They say "the money is in the list"
But like I said earlier in this series the real money depends on...
Who is on that list and what type of relationship you have with them
If you've followed the formula I laid out for you so far you should have the right people on your list
Now it's time to focus on building a deeper more meaningful relationship with them
One based on:
These are key factors in your ability to influence their buying decisions and if
you are going to sell a lot of stuff online you will need to get good at doing that
But don't worry it's not that difficult when your goal is simply to help them get what they want
Never the less care must be taken to communicate with your list in a way that
makes them responsive to what you offer and look forward to hearing from you
So how do we do that?
The process I'm about to describe to you fits into the same structure that I covered briefly in
a training video I made to show you how I setup my email followup system for maximum results
You should be able to access that video on the "Custom Training" page of your marketing system
So if you haven't Setup Your System yet then make sure you do that now...
While we are on that topic...
If you haven't gotten this email followup software yet
I'm not sure how you made it this far without it :-)
But go ahead and Get That Now before we go any further...
OK let's get back to it...
Now that you've identified who it is that would be a good fit for your business
and have got them to see you as someone who can help them get what they want
It's time to deliver on that expectation
They are looking to you for answers and guidance
They are looking for you to help them get what they want...
So that is exactly what you are going to do
Once they are "On Your List"
Continue communicating with them about how to get where they want to go
And offer them solutions along the way that they need to make it happen
This may or may not include joining your business opportunity right away
Remember these are people that have previously joined an opportunity
and most of them will still be active distributors with those companies.
Which is totally fine because...
Remember our business is to help them get what they want
Not just sell them on another opportunity
If you demonstrate to them that you can help them get results in business
By actually helping them get those results...
Naturally a good portion of them will decide they want to "work with you directly"
And join the opportunities that you are promoting...
But you will still get compensated for helping the ones that don't join your business
Because now you offer more than just an opportunity
You offer as many solutions as are needed for them to get what they want
Regardless of what business opportunity they are promoting your business
is to provide solutions to your target market not just offer an opportunity
We will get into more details on how to convert your list into business partners another time
But trust me when you become the person they look to for guidance on how to build a business
It's really easy to get them to join yours...
The main objectives of the followup process are these:
Making sales is actually easy when what you are selling helps them get what they want.
You just simply need to make the right offers at the appropriate time in your messages
For instance if you are sending a message to your list about a certain aspect of business building
And there is an appropriate:
That they might need to implement what you are showing them
Then you would just include that thing in the message and recommend that they get
that thing if they want the results that come from doing what you told them about
If you're committed to follow the business philosophy we've been talking about
That it's your business mission to help your market get what they want
Than all that is left to do is build authority and responsiveness
Once you've built up your authority on the subject you are communicating with them about
And they are responsive to the messages that you send them you will have the influence you need
To effectively recommend the solutions that you offer to the problems that they have...
Thankfully this all happens automatically as you continue to provide them with things that they value
And consistently deliver information and resources that help them get closer to their desires.
So what you need to do with all your subscribers from the first day they join your list is to...
Each on of them to take action on the things that you suggest to them.
Indoctrination is the process you will use to become
By your prospects...
So the first time someone joins your list
They should receive an initial series of emails that are focused on doing just that...
Remember there is a set of email templates included in the email software I recommended for you
Several of them are labeled "Indoctrination" so you know what purpose you can use them for.
One of them is a welcome series you can use to build that first series of messages
After they get that initial welcome series you should continue to send
your list useful information that positions you as someone who cares
And also someone who knows what they are talking about...
As you continue down the learn, do, teach path this should be fairly easy to do...
Just create more content from the things that you are learning and doing and share it with your list
There are a lot of little things you can do to make your list think you are super awesome
And we'll get into those another time but for now the general rule is...
Just be cool...
And focus on stuff that would be useful to them and they will start to warm up to you right away...
The next thing you must do is...
Learn to separate the people on your list into groups and communicate with them accordingly
Just like your market has distinguishing features that set them apart from the rest of the world
There will be "segments" of your list that have slightly different interests
and they will also have different levels of commitment to their own success.
You want to find the people who are truly hungry to get results and make their business work
Figure out what part of their business they are most interested in improving right now
Then send them info and offers related to that interest...
Continue to fill in the gaps for your market as you see more of what they need and have interest in...
Constantly review what they need to get where they want and this should come naturally
Your offers will be connected to an interest or a step in the process to get what they want
Sending them messages about those steps and interests will help you see who is at the place where that information and offers about that subject would be relevant and they would likely respond to...
Again, you do this by creating content about the subject
and tying it to an offer that fits well with that subject
Just like you did with the lead magnet...
Once they show interest in that content by opening your message and consuming the content
You can send them more info about the subject that they showed interest in along with
a corresponding offer that helps them get the results you talked about in the content.
And that is when the sales are made...
It's vitally important to your business that you have more than one solution for your market
Because portions of your list may already have the one thing you offer...
Having multiple solutions focused on them getting what they want ensures...
That your efforts are profitable and your customers have all that they need
Also just because someone says no initially doesn't mean they aren't interested at all
It may just mean they aren't interested in that thing at that time...
Have something else that will satisfy their other interest in the mean time :-)
If you haven't figured this out yet...
Pretty much every thing thats for sale online has a way for you to get paid to recommend it.
It's called an affiliate program
So as you are learning how your market gets what they want and the steps they need to take
Find the resources they need to make it happen and see how you can get paid to recommend them
For instance the system you now have to create your marketing pages has an affiliate program
You can get paid to recommend this solution to people you are helping build their business online
They also have training products that teach people how to do almost every aspect of this business
You can recommend them to your list and get paid when they decide to buy them
Almost everything that someone would need to make a business work online has an affiliate program
In the future you may want to create your own solutions and offer them to your list
But until you are ready to do that...
Just simply find the best solutions available and make sure you get paid to recommend them.
Doing this will help cover the cost of business and will lead to a profitable way to get new prospects
Even if they don't end up joining the opportunity that you have to offer...
When you can build a targeted list at a profit you become unbeatable
You can afford to build a bigger list of prospects than someone who only has one source of revenue
It's how any smart business operates regardless of the market they serve...
And it's how we operate as well...
Because we are in business to reach
OUR dreams and OUR goals
Not the companies that we represent or our uplines
We want to be free and we want the people we serve to be free as well
So we will make sure to do everything in our power to see that they have ALL that they need.
And because we are looking out for our markets best interest
we will get paid more than the average Home Business Owner
Because we provide more value then they do and we
focus on providing solutions not just working a comp plan.
As you get to know me better and spend more time studying what I offer to my market
You will learn more about the types of things you can provide to yours and how to get paid to do it
But just remember most companies will pay you for a referral
So make sure to check into that as you find the things that help your market get what they want.
As your subscribers get to know you and continue to consume the content you create for them
They will become more responsive to your communication
And that is important...
Because regardless of what you create or have to offer, if no one is opening your messages
or clicking on links to see what you have to offer then you aren't going to be making sales.
So an important skill to learn in this business is what we like to call "copywriting"
Now this can get over emphasized at times...
People like to imagine that if you are good at this you can sell anything
regardless of the relationship you have with the reader
And this is simply not true...
No magic words are going to get you sales if the reader isn't
the right person and if you have no relationship with them
That being said...
You can greatly increase the amount of response and engagement you get from your communication
If you learn some simple copywriting skills...
It's kind of a big topic to try and cram into this post so...

Including the content and conversion pages you will be making for your market...
If you implement what you learn it will increase the results that you get from all your communication
It's worth making a priority to acquire this skill as you continue to create success in your business.
But just to give you a quick breakdown of what to focus on in your emails
Here is a list of what your goals should be when writing emails
There is always more to learn about the subject of writing emails and communicating with your list
But the best thing you can do at this point is to get started doing it...
There is so much you will learn from experience and so much that wouldn't make sense until you do
So start with getting your "welcome series" ready to go.
Then create a couple emails that will send people over to your content
Then you can send traffic to your pages and start building up a list to "practice" your new skills on.

The system I use to get my message infront of my market
But it wouldn't fit into one post so I'm going to save that for another time...
If you remember we talked about using Facebook to reach your target market earlier in this series
You should have already setup your business account with them
So you are ready to place your content in front of the right people...
And get them to ask you for more by offering them a lead magnet...
But before you do that you are going to need to understand how their platform works
And how to maximize the results you get by using their targeting and retargeting system.
Like I said I'll show you how I personally do this another time...
But for now you can get the details on how to use Facebook to reach your market
By going through some of the videos in the training section of your marketing system
The 2 main ones to get you started reaching your market on Facebook are
"Facebook Paid Marketing" and "Retargeting Pixels and Tracking"

If you've been with me since the Introduction To This Series
Later in this series I'll show you how to get your content in front of your market
So they can spend some time discovering the value that you have to offer them
Once that happens and your target market is consuming the content your created for them
Then it is time to ask your audience for the next level of commitment
They've already committed their time by consuming the content you made for them and...
Since you've made a good first impression by starting the conversation with something they value
It's time to ask them to take the next step
To give you their contact info and permission to
send them even more of what's valuable to them.
Sounds simple enough right?
But how do you go about it in a way thats not creepy
and that makes them actually want to do it?
This is done by using what we like to call:
A Lead Magnet or Customer Bait...
It can take many forms but the general idea is to offer your target market something they value.
Something that helps them get what they want...
In exchange for their contact info and permission to follow up with them.
The principles behind the lead magnet are consistent with the formula we used to get your markets attention through content and will be the same progressive relationship building formula that we will use to get them to buy your products and join your business opportunity.
That is why we've put so much emphasis on getting to know who your market is
And how you can help them get what they want
When you know that well...
Getting them to take action on your offers is pretty easy
But there is an order of communication and a progression of commitments you must follow if you want to effectively turn your target market into your warm market so that they will want to take the actions that you are going to recommend to them.
Each step in your newly formed relationship will get a little deeper because you will be providing them with an increased level of value in exchange for an increased level of commitment from them.
This starts with the time they committed when they consumed your content.
If they are happy with what they got in exchange for their time
Then they should be happy to commit more of it in exchange for more of what they already got...
And essentially thats what you are asking them to do when you offer them something they value in exchange for their contact info and permission to continue the conversation that was started with your content.
But a lead magnet needs to be more than just a continued conversation.
Thats what "newsletters" are for and to be honest most people aren't that exited about...
Getting a "newsletter"
It must be something specific that they would want to have access to immediately
And it should be consumable in a relatively short period of time.
It could simply be a piece of content that you created following the Learn, Do, Teach formula
Only they would have to give you their contact info before they got access to it.
It could be a video, audio, pdf, tool, or any other resource resource
Anything that your market would perceive to be valuable to them
And would help them make progress toward their desires
Let's look back at the list of milestones, steps, and obstacles your market must get through
Before they reach their desired end...
There is something along that path that they need or would at least be helpful to them that you can offer in exchange for their contact info and permission to continue communicating with them.
There are a lot of different lead magnets that you can create but...
All of them should fit into a path your prospect can take to get what they want.
I'm not going to talk about everything there is to know about lead magnets in this post
Because you really don't need to know everything about them to make one
A lot of people create stand alone lead magnets and try to offer them to
everyone that comes to their site regardless of why they came there.
This can work if your offer is good and appealing to your market in general
If you create lead magnets that offer the next logical step after reading your content pages
Are highly relevant to the topics that they've already show interest in by the pages they visit
Then you will have a lot more people giving you their contact info...
You could have a content page talking about how to get leads from youtube and offer a training that teaches the 3 different video types that work best for acquiring leads on youtube as a lead magnet.
If they are interested enough to read your content about getting leads from youtube
then they are probably interested in learning the best types of videos to use as well.
Or you could send someone to a post introducing them to getting leads
from youtube and then offer the "complete series" as a lead magnet.
Or even just a list of the tools that you use to get leads from youtube could work.
There isn't really any hard rules when it comes to creating lead magnets
But it is best if the lead magnet is related to the content that they have already consumed.
If what you are offering them as a lead magnet is neccesary or at least makes it easier for them to follow through on what you showed them in your content it can make a very effective lead magnet.
But anything that your target market would find valuable can be positioned as a lead magnet.
Now once you have something in mind that fits some or all of these characteristics
How are you going to get someone to give you their contact info in exchange for it?
You do that by delivering it only After someone gives you their contact info...
Pretty profound right? :-)
This is were our first "Conversion Page" comes into play...
There are a lot of ways to "ask for the optin" but we are going to talk about the most common one.
And that is by using what is called a "Squeeze Page" or an "Optin Page"
Basically this is a webpage who's sole purpose is to:
Sell someone on the value that your lead magnet has to offer.
And the only action someone can take on this page is to either give you their contact info
To get the lead magnet
Or just leave the page...
And if your lead magnet is closely tied to the content they ready prior to it being offered to them
There isn't a whole lot of selling that needs to go onto the page...
But it's always good to present what you are offering in the best possible light...
The page should be focused on what you are offering and what it will do for them if they get it.
It should have a clear call to action that tells them to give you their contact info so they can get it
A good strong headline that highlights the one big thing that the lead magnet will do for them
A few extra benefits they will get from having the lead magnet
And clear instructions telling them how to get what you are offering them is all that it takes.
To get someone to "opt-in" and join you list...
Don't worry about the design and the layout that much...
When you go to create your first "Optin Page" using the conversion page creator
That is included in the system I recommended to you in part 3 of this series
You'll see that you now have a bunch of pretested, predesigned design page templates
That you can use to get one cranked out pretty quickly.
And if you want to get started sending traffic to your content pages right away
without having to come up with your own lead magnets and conversion pages
The system also includes a bunch of fully developed lead magnets and corresponding optin pages.
You can use these "generic" lead magnets for the opportunity side of your business right away
Because the opportunity side of all home businesses serve the same market they are able to create
lead magnets that will work for you no matter what company you are promoting as an opportunity.
But if you want to get your hands dirty and begin to create your own lead magnets
(which I recommend you do asap)
You can just use theirs to give you ideas and inspiration for creating your own.
If you decide to use the ones that they have already created for you...
You should probably pick one that fits the content you are creating
Or create some content that would fit well with the lead magnets that they have available for you.
Doing this will give you a subject to talk about in your content
And will make for a great match with the lead magnet...
Most of the pre-developed lead magnets offer a training video on a specific subject of interest to
The home business market
So you could simply go through the lead magnet videos
And take notes for creating your content pages...
And just like that you will have a complete lead getting machine ready to put in front of your market
So you can start building a list of targeted prospects that you need to get the results you are after
At this stage you are so far ahead of the competition it's almost not fair
And soon enough you will be bringing people into your team and teaching them these same tactics
So that they can have the same success you will begin to enjoy once you complete this process
And begin to do the things that you are learning in this series...
Next we are going to talk about what to do with your prospects once they join your list
So that they look forward to hearing from you and are excited to accept the offers that you have
This is the last stage in the relationship building process and it is the most important part
Because this is where the money is made and...
This is where most of your efforts will be focused moving forward
So for now go ahead and choose a lead magnet content page combo...
Whether you create both the lead magnet and the content page or just the content
make sure you have a good match that follows some of the guidelines I gave you today
If you are creating your own lead magnet and it's corresponding optin page
Simply login to your system and hover over the tab that says "my websites"
And look for the "Funnelizer" option...
Clicking that will open a new page with instruction on how to create your first lead capture page.
If you want to use the predesigned lead magnet option then hover over the same "my websites" tab
And then choose any of the first 4 options...
Each one has a list of lead capture pages that correspond to a specific lead magnet or offer...
Choose one that you feel will best fit your market and your message.
You are so close to having an endless amount of people asking you about your business.

You should have all the tools you will need to build your business online now...
Since you followed through and took action on what I suggested in the previous post
In todays lesson we are going to talk about how to craft a message that fits your market and...
How to communicate in a way that compels them to join your list and buy what you are selling
If you are going to produce predictable, lasting, and scalable results in your business
You'll need to approach it with real, fundamental, sound business and marketing principles
Failing to do this is the reason most people don't succeed in their home business
Because they start it on an impulse without any prior planning or research into the market.
The type of stuff that every other business does before moving into a new market
This lack of planning and forethought is mainly due to the way business opportunities are promoted
With an emphasis on the opportunity to make money from a comp plan rather than a market
Of course there is a market for opportunity...
But it is the people seeking opportunity who are the market
Not the opportunity itself or a companies comp plan
If you are going to capitalize on that market than you must know more about the people
Than you do about a companies comp plan
The same thing goes for the potential customers of your products
You must know more about those people and what makes them want your products
Then you know about the products themselves
You must go back to the basics of business so you can see what you are doing in the proper light
So you can understand what and how to communicate about your offers that will be most effective.
REMEMBER THIS STATEMENT...
"You are in business to provide solutions to peoples problems period"
If your business isn't providing solutions then you won't be in business long.
The solutions you provide will generally fall into two categories.
Helping people get something that they want or helping them avoid something that they don't want.
And in many cases it's a combination of them both...
Because the things people desire are usually in opposition to the things that they'd like to avoid
For instance if you help someone get rich at the same time you are also helping them to not be poor.
If you help someone get healthy you are also helping them to not be sick
The first brings them pleasure and the second avoids pain.
And you are tapping into the age old principle who's outcome is always you getting what you want
If you have something that your market values and you are able to clearly communicate that to them
They will be willing to trade with you...
The value that you have to offer them in exchange for something that is valuable to you
This can be several things but in the end it will lead to the exchange of money...
Which is simply a storage device for value that we all like to accumulate so that we can exchange it
For the things that we truly value or at least are necessary to live the life that we choose to
Remember back in the second part of this series where we wrote out that list?
The one with the things that your target market wants or does not want?
Things that You, Your products or Your opportunity can provide them...
Yes, we actually did that for a reason :-)
That was the start of what you are going to finish today
It's also what you are going to continually improve on as you think about your market
How, Why, and What to include in your messages that will get them to respond to your offers
You will not always be talking about their desires or the things that they want to avoid directly
But most of your messages should in some way tie back into their reasons for being "in the market"
In the end those are the reasons that your target market will decide to do business with you or not
So go ahead and pull up that list you made...
Lets see if you have enough to work with now or if it could use some improvement.
Ask yourself again:
What are the desires your target market has?
What are the pains it wants to avoid?
That You, Your products, or Your opportunity can help them with?
Now that you have a list of the desires and pains of your target market...
Think about how your business can help them get from where they are now to where they want to be
Closer to their desires...
Further from the things that bring them pain...
Now write a before and after list of what your target market will:
Different everyday as a result of the solutions your business offers.
It should look something like this...
Ask yourself the following questions and fill in the answers on the list...
These can be positive or negative depending on your offers...
Whether they move people closer to pleasure or further away from pain.
#1 What do your customers have now without your solutions?
Meaning what do they have now that they don't want or what do they not have now that they want.
What will your customers have after they get the results that your solutions provide?
#2 How do your customers feel now without having those solutions?
How will they feel after they have realized the benefits that they provide?
#3 How do your customers see themselves?
How do the people that they care about see them?
Before getting the results that the things you are offering can deliver.
Who will your customer become in their own eyes and the eyes of the people around them?
After they have gotten the results that your solutions can provide.
What we want to see is if these results can create a change of "status" for your customer
In either their own eyes or the eyes of the people around them...
does your prospect or their spouse see them as a failure at something before they
realize the results of what you are offering could potentially deliver to them?
And will they see them as a success after they have the benefits your solutions can provide them?
Maybe they are seen as fat and unhealthy before get what you have to offer...
But after they have the benefits or your products they will be seen as healthy and fit.
#4 What does your customer do or not do everyday that will change once they have your solutions?
How will their daily lives change as a result of getting the benefits your offers can deliver?
As you can see from this line of questioning
We are trying to discover what your business actually does for your customers.
It's important to get clear on this since thats really the only thing your customers care about...
What will this do for me?
Is what they all ask when making a decision to buy something or not...
So the more familiar you are with your markets problems and how to solve them
The better your communication will be and...
The more compelling all your messages will be...
Like I said earlier...
Any business that is not providing solutions to peoples problems is not going to be in business long.
So starting right now your focus needs to be helping your target market get from:
When that is your objective and you can communicate that through your message then getting people to take you up on your offers is fairly straight forward and easy.
But there is a process of communication you will need to follow in order for them to receive the help you have to offer.
And that process starts with Creating Compelling Content that is valuable to your target market.
When I say valuable...
I mean that it will help them move from where they are now closer to where they want to be.
And here is where we meet a major crossroad in your journey to success...
Consider this fact for a moment...
Better yet, don't ever forget this...
"The amount of Income that you derive from your business is in direct
proportion to the amount of value that you contribute to your market"
Notice I said the amount of value that YOU contribute...
Because ultimately it is YOU that they are going to buy from and the value that they place on YOUR recommendation will determine whether or not they will even consider what you have to offer them.
In order for this all to work well you need to be committed to
continually increasing your value to the people that you serve.
And your value (at least to your target market) is directly tied to...
The amount of movement you are able to help them make
From where they are now to where they want to be.
If you've ever heard the saying "Income Follows Personal Growth"
This is where it applies more then anywhere else...
Must be in a constant state of improvement and growth.
Otherwise you will limit the degree to which you can truly help your customers
and will therefore limit the amount of income you can expect to make from them.
Because it is your customers that your income is derived from.
If your value to them is limited in their eyes so will
the amount of money that they will be willing to give you.
So here is rule #1 for creating compelling content
This will mainly be useful information that will facilitate movement toward their desired ends
Anything that you can contribute which accomplishes that goal is valuable to them.
Information is great but your understanding of the information and your experience is even better.
The contacts that you have and the resources available to you can also be considered valuable.
But when it comes down to truly helping your market get what they want...
Your ability to clearly convey the value that you have to your customers
Is probably the most valuable thing that you have to offer.
So commit to increasing your value to the market and your income will continue to increase as well.
Ok well I hope by now you get the point :-)
Now lets talk more specifically about the type of things
that will help your market get closer to their desires.
So you can begin to see what your message and the things that you offer should be about.
Think back to the things you discovered about your target market.
Where they are now...
Where they want to be...
Picture the movement that must take place for them to reach their desired end.
What steps are there along that path that they must take in order for them to reach the end?
What obstacles exist that will keep them back from moving forward along the way?
Are their any shortcuts that could get them there faster or with less effort?
And what are the major milestones that they must accomplish to reach their desired outcome?
It should look something like this...

Now write a list of those major milestones
In either order of importance or the order in which they'll need to be accomplished.
Leave some space in between...
And list the steps they must take to reach them as well as any obstacles they might face in between
What will they need to know, have, do, or become in order for them to make progress along the way?
If you are just getting started and aren't really sure how to answer these questions
Or if you've been in business for a while and have never thought this through before
Now is the best time to learn what your market needs to successfully reach their desires :-)
Repeat after me...
Burn this mantra into your brain
This is the formula you will follow to reach what ever level of success you desire in your business
Because it's the formula that will continue to increase the value you have to your target market
Decide to invest in yourself...
You have the highest potential ROI over anything else you could put your money into period
The more you learn, the more you can do
The more you do, the more experience you'll have
The more experience you have, The more you can teach
The more you can teach, The more value you can deliver to your customers
The more value you can deliver to your customers, The more they will buy from you
So let's get back to this list...
When you go through this exercise for the product side of your business
It may look a lot deferent depending on what your product is
And what desires or pain points that the market it serves has
But for the opportunity side of your business...
It's going to be pretty consistent with every other home business opportunity.
So lets talk about that for a minute...
Some of the milestones you might have written down for this side of your business might be
Or the short version might go something like this...
Of course there are a bunch of steps and obstacles in between
and possibly a few more milestones if you want to be elaborate.
Steps that would be repeating in between each milestone would include but not be limited to.
You can most certainly help them along that path now that you have adopted the:
Learn, Do, Teach formula
I know you may be asking yourself...
How is this going to turn into people buying my products or joining my opportunity?
And that's a Great questions :-)
Remember that we are assuming your business has a solution
or at least a partial solution to the problems your market has
Since that is true or at least will be since you are committed to increasing your value to the market
Somewhere along the way what you offer is going to be positioned
as part of the process it takes for them to get what they want.
It may be a nessacery resource they need to accomplish a major milestone...
Or at least one of the best available options
It may just be a step along the way...
It may be something that simply helps them get through one of the
many obsticles they will face on their journey to reaching their desires.
The point is...
When you position your offers as part of the process someone can take to reach their desires
Assuming that they really do want to reach them...
They will be happy to take what you are offering them.
But remember you are no longer in the product or opportunity business
You are in the solutions business
And it is your business to serve your target market to the best of your ability
And that mean filling in the gaps for your customers
Doing your best to provide as many solutions along the path toward their desires as you can
You may not be paid in cash for every problem you help them solve
But you will receive some form of valuable compensation
Even if it is just a more happy and satisfied customer
Because the things that you recommend to them actually help them get what they want.
Now on that note...
Let me suggest to you an idea that could be the difference between you making...

As you start to implement what I'm teaching you in this series
You'll begin to build your list of targeted, qualified "leads" for your business
So, make this a priority:
To profit from as many solutions as you can along their path toward getting what they want.
You are already leading them through the steps it takes to get there...
So you might as well be compensated for your contribution...
Which is another reason it's so important to continue working on knowing the needs of your market
Getting super clear on what it takes to get them from where they are to where they want to be.

But it is the first step toward reaching your market with a message they will respond to.
In every market imaginable...
People are looking for direction...
For someone to tell them what to do and how to do it...
Become that person...
Provide that much needed direction...
And they will follow you where ever you decide to lead them
As long as in the end they end up where they've always wanted to be
Pieces of the problems that they face and pieces of the solution you have to those problems.
Your next task is to create content pages that address the issues your target market faces
A bit of information that offers a part of the solution that they need to get what they want.
Start the conversation you have with your prospects with something that they will value
This makes for a great first impression and it sets the stage for next step in this process
When they will give you their contact info and ask you to begin delivering even greater value
to them in exchange for more of their time and treasure (i.e. money)
Now incase you are still not clear on how to create this content and what exactly you should be writing about I made a training video a while back that teaches you the same strategy I use to create my own compelling content.

This can be applied to pretty much everything you learn from this day forward but lets start with that enormous amount of training material that you now have access to as a bonus for using the system I recommended to create your marketing pages with.
#1 Pick a subject to learn about...
#2 Go through the training material that covers that subject
#3 Take notes as you go through the material outlining the main points and any important details
#4 Turn those notes into a lesson using your own words to describe what you just learned
Now you'll have your own information that others need
to get the results that come with following the advice it offers.
You can do this immediately after consuming the information yourself but remember the more you do what you learn the more valuable your information will be to you and your market. Because it will be mixed with the understanding that only comes through experience. You ability to clearly convey the lessons you learn to others will be directly tied to how well you know the subject and the only way to really know something it to have done it yourself. The more you do it the more you will know it and the better you will be at sharing the wisdom you gain from experience with others. And the more you are able to share the wisdom you gain with others the more they will pay you for that wisdom and take the recommendations that you suggest to them.
And that is the beauty of the Learn, Do, Teach formula.

But you must make the initial effort

You can always go back and make it better or just...
Redo the whole thing later on once you get a better handle on the subject.

You are going to need a way for these people to give you their contact info
You are also going to need a way to communicate the value that your business offers to them
There are 2 types of web pages that you need to be able to create in order to do that
The first are Conversion Pages
These special pages are solely focused on getting someone to take relationship changing actions...
Like giving you their contact info, buying your products, or joining your opportunity
These are the pages you will send people to when they are ready to take those actions.
when we walk back through these steps in the next post
I'll show you how to know when they are ready to do that
How those pages can be automatically sent to them when the time is right
But if all you ever do is ask people for stuff like:
They may just start to ignore all communication coming from you
And we definitely don't want that to happen...
If you want to have a list of targeted prospects who are always happy and eager to take a look at the conversion pages you will be sending them. You are going to have to give a little more to the relationship than that...
To build up the relationship equity that you need to cash in on your list
You will need another type of webpage...
We call them Content Pages
Now there are a variety of goals that we use Content pages to accomplish
And we will get into some of those later on...
But all of them work together for the common purpose of making your target market
Happy and eager to consider what you are offering them on your conversion pages...
Your Content Pages will be more focused on delivering information that will be valuable to your target market and that will actually help them get closer to their desires or farther away from the things that cause them pain like we discussed in the last post of this series.
You will use these pages to build the relationship you have with your list
And continually increase the influence and level of trust they have with you...
Month after Month
Year after Year...
You will send your target market to these pages before they give you their contact info
And in between every stage of your relationship such as
And remember all this will happen automatically for ever new contact that comes into your business.
So you will make these pages once and use them over and over automatically
To build trust and make sales from everyone who joins your list.
Doing this will allow you to build your business as big as you want
Without adding a ton of extra work for you as it continues to grow...

This way you will only talk to people that are most likely to say yes to your product or opportunity.
In this post we are going to figure out who you're Target market is and how to find them online
But before we begin I want to make sure you understand the importance of this step and...

Ok, so I'm going to assume you have gone through the introduction to this series and
You're now ready to start building your business the way I described in the that post.
Your First step is to identify who is most likely to want to purchase your products or join your business opportunity. These people are often referred to as your "Target Market" and before you can get them asking you for information about your business you'll need to determine how you can distinguish them from the rest of the world.
So lets get into it...
One of the most sure ways to determine what someone is likely do in the future is to know what they have done in the past and also what they are presently doing.
The phrase "Once a (fill in the blank) always a (fill in the blank)." can be applied to almost anything and this is definitely one of them.
Lets face it, we are creatures of habit and once we do a thing the probability that we will do it again is much higher than before we had done it the first time. So instead of going after random strangers that have shown no previous interest in what you are offering hoping they will buy your product or join your opportunity. First take a look and see if they have bought/joined something similar in the past.
I don't know about you but I joined this business for the leverage of time and freedom that it offers. Not to spend every waking hour of my life "Prospecting" in a field of uncertainty. Trying to find a nugget of gold where there has been no history of such finding or obvious indicators that would lead me to believe I should find some in that place.
If you want to strike it rich in this business you are going to have to go where the Gold is gathered together. In the mining world they call this a vein and once you get good at finding them luck is no longer a factor in your success.
The good news is that in the marketing world there are no "private mines" and that makes finding a vein pretty darn easy. All you have to do is let everyone else dig and dig until they hit pay dirt and then you simply come in behind them and collect your prize.
I know I'm getting a little allegorical on you here but...
I want you to see the picture clearly so you understand how powerful this approach really is.
Lets talk about leverage for a minute...
One of the draws of this business is the potential to leverage the efforts of others to increase and maintain your income.
But what we are doing here goes
much deeper than just your downline.
Imagine for a minute the countless hours of work that millions of people in the home business industry put in every day. Prospecting the general public who have not yet shown an interest in this type of business before. And at the same time an equal or greater amount of effort is being put into exposing and educating these same people about the types of products that your company has to offer. They do all the heavy lifting by sifting and sorting through millions of your new potential customers and business partners by educating them about this business and the type of products you have to offer. Then after someone has shown they are truly interest in buying a product or joining an opportunity like yours you get to step in right in and take it from there.
By just implementing this first step into your business. By only talking to people that have a history of interest in the type of product that you offer or the type of opportunity that you have access to. You are now 100x's more likely to succeed since you won't be waisting your time with the 99 people you would have had to talk to before you found the one who said YES.
Now add on the other steps that we will go through in this series and you will wonder why you ever tried to build a business without them.
The cool part is that once you understand how this works and are getting the results that everyone in this business wants then you will be the one to show them how it's done...
So now that we've figured out who we are looking for.
How are we going to find them?
Before you can get a message in front of them which will compel them to ask you for information about your business you must first find out where they are going to be.
One of the great things about using the internet to reach your audience is that everything they do is recorded and they tend to leave clues all over the place that scream "I am looking for what you have to offer" or "I love this type of business or product"
There are really two main ways you can tell if someone has been or is presently interested in the type of product or opportunity that you have to offer online.
And they are...
#1 The things that they search for through sites like Google, Youtube, Bing, and any other search based site where the users can ask for information about the things that interest them.
#2 The things that they have openly said they are interested in through sites like Facebook, Twitter, Google+, or any other social media sites where users can like, follow, and share things related to the people, places, products, or any other interest that they have.
All you have to do is determine what type of things your target market
(someone presently or previously interested in your type of product or business)
would be searching for or would have openly shown an interest in on these sites.
If your audience is on the internet then they are on one or more of these sites.
And with these questions we will be able to see what makes them stand out from the other
3.2 Billion People
That are now using the internet to find and share the thing they have interest in.
It is the business of these sites to allow us to place our message in front of these people
once we figure out how to distinguish them from everyone else online.
So don't worry about how you will get in front of them.
I'll show you exactly how thats done in a future post and trust me it's not that dificult.
For now lets determine the type of things they would be searching for and the type of things they would openly share that they have interest in.
What we are doing now is part of a bigger exercise called creating you're customer Avatar
And I'm not talking about marketing to blue alien people
This is a more advanced subject we will talk about later on
But the general idea and purpose behind creating...
Your Customer Avatar
Is the more familiar you get with who your Target market is.
The more effective you will be at communicating with them
And as you will see in part 5 of this series Communication is the key that makes this all work.
So let's start with the first set of questions to ask...
If we want to learn how to spot our audience online.
We will actually use this information more when we start talking about the message that we'll be putting in front of them. But it is also useful if we are going to use the search sites as a way to get this that message in front of them.
So think about the person who has bought a product like yours
Or someone who has joined the same type of opportunity...
If you had a health related product their desire may be to loose weight or have more energy etc...
With a business opportunity they may have a desire to...
...make more money or no longer work as an employee etc.
They may value spending time with their family or giving to their church or cause they care about.
Those are just some examples to start with so you can see what we are trying to discover here.
Make a list as long as you can for all of these questions.
It will come in handy when we start telling these sites who to put our message in front of
And also when we create the messages that will compel them to ask us about our business.
Getting back to the questions...
Now once you have a good amount of answers written down to those questions
Then ask yourself what type of things would a person with those
Be looking for on the internet?
Would they be searching for information about...
You get the idea...
We are just looking for a list of search terms that your target audience would be using
to get information related to the solutions you, your products, and opportunity can provide.
If your product is health related then someone might be looking for
"The best supplement to build muscle mass" or "How to loose weight without dieting"
If your product is mobile service then someone may be searching for
"Who has the best mobile data plans?" or "How to save money on my cell phone bill?"
If you are promoting your opportunity someone might be searching for information like
"Best home businesses in the (fill in the blank) market"
"How to get more customers for my home business using the internet"
"How to make more money with a home business"
People actively searching for things like this are currently seeking solutions that you and your business can provide. If you can get a message in front of them that answers their questions and points them toward those solutions then you will be well on your way to building your business online.
But only a small portion of your target market is going to be actively searching for things like this at any given time and there is no way you will be able to target every search term they might be using anyways.
So how do you get in front of the majority of your market
That isn't actively searching for things related to your business?
The answer lies in their public interests
Meaning what they have publicly stated they are interested in.
Thanks to sites like...
It's really easy to find out what people are interested in...
But before we go and find the people that have publicly proclaimed an interest which would indicate they are indeed our target market we must figure out what interests they would have in the first place.
And this is where it starts to get exciting...
Once you realize how many ways there are to distinguish someone who has a high potential to be your customer or business partner and how many of them there actually are on the internet you will no longer suffer from the false idea that there are not enough people interested in your business to make it work.
Instead you will have the complete opposite problem
And it's a good problem to have...
Deciding who you are not going to spend time with...
Since you will have an abundance of new prospects
Asking us for information about our business everyday
We will have to make the tough choices of who we will spend time working closely with or if we will make ourselves personally accessible at all. It may not make sense to you right now but if you follow through on what I'm going to show you in this series one day you will have more people on your team then you will be able to personally work with one on one. Not because you don't want to but just because there aren't enough hours in the day to do it once you reach a certain level of growth in your business.
But don't worry about that right now :-)
I have some great resources that I'll recommend to you once you start making progress toward reaching that level of production in your business.
But If you build your business right then you will never really get to that point because all your interactions with your customers and sales team will be done through automation and in group settings so you can continue to focus on the most important thing in your business. Producing more sales and recruiting more reps.
Lets think about the person who has joined an opportunity or has bought a product similar to yours.
More than likely these people will have some common interests with you
But don't limit your discovery to just the things that you have interest in
It's a good place to start though...
There will be some cross over between the interests of your product customers and your
business partners depending on how related your opportunity is to the products that you offer
But lets make two separate lists...
So we can best identify the interests of your ideal customers and business partners
Think about the things I'm about to suggest to prime your interest idea pump...
You won't get a complete list of all their interests right away...
But all you really need is a good start.
As we start actually targeting people with these interests we will begin to discover the never ending treasure of similar interest that you can tap into anytime you are running low on interests to target.
So as it relates to either your products or business opportunity.
You can start with filling in these questions for yourself.
But you may not be subscribed to a magazine related to your business or products
And even if you do there are more out there that you might not know of yet.
So to get that information we just need to conduct a little research on this super secret site...
Called Google :-)
Just use one of these search templates...
Or your own variation and you should be able to find plenty of interests to start with.
What or who are the (best, top, most popular)
"Thing I mentioned above"
In your business industry or product category.
So for example:
Or if it makes sense you can combine the two like this...
You could also just skip the extra verbiage.
Google doesn't really require full sentances or to structure them as a question.
So just typing "Top MLM Companies" would do just fine.
Most of the time you will get more than a bunch of individual results
Sometimes the results will actually be lists of the things you are looking for.
This will save you a bunch of time and is why we add the extra Top,Best,Most Popular to the search.
Ok so lets wrap things up here...
I'm sure you are eager to start getting your message
In front of these people we've been discovering today.
When you are finished going through these exercises...
You will have a list of things your target market is searching for on the internet.
You will also have a list of their interests and activities related to your business.
In the next post of this series I'm going to show you how to create a message that will get these people to ask you about your business and give you their contact info with permission to follow up with them about what you have to offer.
But before that happens you will need to choose a platform that allows you to place your message in front of the people who have the interests you've identified that your target market should have.

Well it’s not that much different from how you would do it offline. But it is a lot more efficient as well as effective and can be done on a scale that in the physical world is literally impossible. Remember there are only so many home meeting you can hold a day and only so many one on one presentations you can give in the hours you have between work and sleep.
But what if you could clone yourself or your most effective upline leader an infinite number of times and have them go to work for you full time without ever taking a break for anything, not even to sleep? You think you would start to sell more products and sign up more reps in your business?

Not because what you have isn’t good it’s just not something they where activley looking for when you decided to tell them about it. And there in lies one of the most important rules of marketing your business online.
Wouldn’t it be nice if all the sudden EVERYONE you talk to about your business was genuinely interested in what you have to share with them? You think you could make more sales and sign up more reps if you didn’t have to talk to anyone until they had already asked you to tell them about your products or business? These are obviously rhetorical questions and the answers are a definite YES. But you are probably thinking, well of course I would sell more products and signup more reps but how in the world am I ever going to have a conversation with anyone if I only talk to people who ask me to talk to them first? Which brings us to our next Big Idea.
The fact is that not everyone is in the market looking for what you can offer them right now. And that’s perfectly fine. This is something that we need to accept if we are going to make this our profession and treat it like the business that it is. We must detach from the idea that EVERYONE needs our products or opportunity and begin to focus on the people that actually want them. Instead of waisting all your time and energy “seeing” if people “might” be interested in what you have to offer you simply identify the people that are definitly interested or have a very high potential to be interested based on their current interests and past behaviors. This is really the first step in what is know as Target Marketing and is what we like to call….
Believe it or not there are actually ways to predict with a high level of certainty the probability someone has to purchase your product or join your opportunity. Not only can you predict their level of interest before you ever speak to them you can also find out where these people will be on a daily basis and get a message in front of them that will compel them to ask you for information about what you have to offer. In the next post I’m going to show you exactly how this is done as well as give you the tools that you need to make it happen. So don’t worry if this sounds a little crazy right now. Once you receive the next part of this series it will make complete sense and you will be ready to get your message in front of your perfect audience right away.

Once you have determined who your target market is, how to distinguish them from the rest of the world, and figured out where they hangout online. It’s time to get them asking you for information about what you have to offer. We do this by first offering them something related to the category of your product or opportunity that they would find valuable in exchange for their contact information and permission to further communicate with them about how what you have can help them get what they want.
We call this thing that they value a Lead Magnet or Customer Bait and is usually requested through a webpage that is often referred to as a Lead Capture Page, Squeeze Page, Or Opt in Page. But regardless of what words are used to describe the process, at this point you'll have double confirmed that the people requesting information are interested in what we are offering and that they want you to talk to them about it.
I’ll go into greater detail about what you will be offering them in order to provoke their request and how to get the webpages setup that you’ll need to deliver it in part 3 of this series. For now just know that this is how you will get the right people asking you for information about your business and is the mechanism that you will use to begin Building the List that I referred to earlier in this post.
You may have heard it said that “The Money Is In The List.” And there is some truth to that phrase but whether there is money in your list or not really depends on who is on your list and what type of relationship you have with them. Since you are going to be building your list exclusively with people in your target market that have already shown interest in what you can offer them, the good news is that half the formula is already taken care of. You have the right people on your list so now what?
The real money is not just in having the right people on your list it is in the relationship you have with those people and your ability to influence their decision to buy something or not. You may have heard before that “The Fortune Is In The Follow Up” and it is as true online than it is anywhere else. There are a lot of reasons why follow up is so important and we’ll get into some of those in part 4 of this series but the 2 main ones are familiarity or the law of multiple exposures and the increased influence you can build with someone over time that will make it easier and easier for them to want to pay attention to your message and take your recommendations as it relates to products that you offer.
This is why most home businesses encourage you to focus on your “Warm Market” but as we’ve already discussed your warm market (family and friends) although they may be more inclined to listen to you than a complete stranger aren’t really your target market. So our goal with the follow up stage of this process is to turn your target market into your warm market. This is were you will focus the majority or your time and effort as it will yield the highest return on investment for you business. Because at this point you will now have an ever increasing list of targeted prospects who have asked you to talk to them about what you have to offer. And through the follow up process they will have come to know, like, and trust that you will lead them in the right direction when it comes to the products they should buy and the opportunities they should take advantage of. Suddenly getting someone to say yes to your business is as simple as asking would you like to join my business now? or Would you like to buy this product now? At this point It really doesn’t matter that much how you ask because the answer is almost always YES!
Of course we will go over presentation skills and how to package your products and opportunities to maximize a positive response in another series but just know that if you do what I’m going to show you now in this series the other stuff is almost irrelevant.
Once you’ve accomplished what you are going to learn over the next few days you will have reached the point of no return in this business. You will now be able to turn email messages into sales and signups when ever you decide to do so. You will now have an asset that can pay you for the rest of your career as long as you take care of it as I will explain in Part 5 of this series.
The reason I call this the point of no return is that once you experience making a full time income in your business by simply sending out a few emails every month you will be psychologically unemployable. You will know first hand how easy it is to build a business when you target the right market and deliver the right message directly to them. You will now see the true gold mine that exists in your business and you will know with certainty exactly how to extract that gold into your bank account. While everyone else just stares at the ground stomping around wishing some would show up on the surface for them you will be digging deep and cashing in on the true wealth of opportunity that exist for you in this business. And then one day not far from now you will come back to this place like I am with you and show these people what it is that you do to live the life of your dreams and how they can to. If you’ve made it this far I know something about you. You have what it takes to make this come true
So lets roll up our sleeves and get this job done!

After only 7 months it’s hard to believe we’ve come this far. It was really cool to hear their story and how they do their thing. But it was even more insightful just to get to know them as a person along with the rest of the leaders.

I can speak from experience now that I’m on the other side of things and I have made a lot of money doing what others only talk about. ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE once you decide what you want and that you are going to get it.
Our story is a living one that continues to develop with every hour and what’s amazed me the most is how things just seem to fall in place and come together in a way you couldn’t plan if you tried, once you make the decision that you are going to make this business work for you no matter what.
Of course we hear this expressed in different ways all the time and it is true. But I happen to know the one who controls the future and I’m just so thankful that he is working on my behalf to bring us to where he wants us to be in life and to use us as an instrument to be a blessing to others as we grow into the children he wants us to be. “Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.” (1 Timothy 1:17)

At first I was somewhat reluctant to promote the information that enabled me to achieve the rapid success that I have enjoyed. But since then I have conclude that there is enough wealth to go around and that I really do want to see people succeed and produce the income that they want in their business. That is the reason I’ve been so redundant in my promotion of The Perpetual Funnel System. Well, there has been a significant amount of folks that have taken my advice and have gotten the information they need to create success in their business through The Perpetual Funnel System. One of the things I’ve noticed is that some folks think they will be able to “duplicate” my sucess simply by purchasing the course. Once they realized that purchasing it did not produce the income I’ve enjoy they sought to uncover what else I did after I purchased it. They soon discovered my marketing method of choice is content marketing. So they figured why not give it a whirl, it seems to be working for Kris Darty. While I think this method of marketing is the most efficient and efective I do not think you can get the same results by completely copying someone else’s copy.
The whole point of The Perpetual Funnel System is not to teach you to be a “splogger” but to create your own unique sales process which is different and that displays your unique personality and style. Much of the content coming out these days from Perpetual Funnel System Students appears to be complete or partial copies of the content I’ve written on the subject. While I am somewhat flattered that they think my content is good enough to copy, I don’t see how this “copy-writing” is going to pay off for them in the long run. While content scraping may result in a few quick commissions there is long term effects it will have on your business image as well as your ranking with google. Not to mention it’s aggravating to the people you are copying. Originality has been a major contributor to my traffic and the ranking of my content. The Perpetual Funnel System encourages folks to be themselves. That’s what is attractive to others of like mind or sentiment. If you try to be someone you are not you will soon find your self not able to sustain the “image” because that’s all it is. Once you attract the folks that are drawn to that persona you will have a hard time keeping them engaged simply because it’s not natural to try and be someone you are not. I would encourage to be original and be yourself. That is what makes you stand out form the mob of people online trying to get extra ordinary results from doing ordinary things like adding your name to someone else’s content and calling it your own. Copy Concepts, Copy Processes, Copy Platforms, But by all means don’t Copy Copy. The Perpetual System has the recipe and the ingredients to create great wealth online but we must bake our cake with creativity if we want to build our brand and bring home “the bacon”.
